South African by birth, Liz is a silversmith, acrylic artist and book illustrator, drawing her inspiration from the vibrancy of Africa, the femininity and strength of women and the natural beauty of nature. She moved to the US about seven years ago and lives in the Pacific Northwest where she travels between her homes in Bellingham, WA and Pemberton, BC. Liz is also a published writer and has written numerous feature articles on artists, jewellers and jewellery for a variety of publications throughout Canada, United States and South Africa. Through her gemological business, Lithogem, Liz is pursuing her goal to promote gemology and jewelry manufacturing for women at all levels and within all communities with the aim to establish community empowerment projects. |
